The web is a great source of information for pet owners! But it can also be a source of misinformation, so Dr. Manobla would like to share some quality, reputable sites with you:
When looking up information online about your pets, we encourage you to consider the following questions to determine if the site (and therefore the information) is reputable.
1. Who runs the web site? Is it a veterinarian? A pharmaceutical company? A private individual? What are the person's professional credentials? The answer to this can help identify the value and validity of the information posted.
2. What is the purpose of the web site? Check the "about us" link that most web sites post for information about what the site owner's mission is.
3. Is the information documented and reviewed? Is it someone's opinion? When medical facts and figures are posted, the source should be documented.
